Care Instructions
How to keep your pieces beautiful for years.
Your favorite pieces deserve proper care. Below are the essential principles to preserve clothing, jewelry, and accessories in their original beauty — small habits that make a big difference over time.
Apparel
General principles
- Always read the care label before the first wash.
- Prefer hand washing or mesh bags for delicate fabrics.
- Avoid chlorine-based bleach.
- Use less detergent than recommended — residue damages fibers.
- Store clothes in a clean, cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Silk & Satin
- Hand wash in cold water with mild pH-neutral soap.
- Do not wring. Gently press into a towel to absorb water.
- Dry flat in shade. Never in sun or dryer.
- Iron on low heat, from the inside.
Cashmere & Wool
- Hand wash with special wool detergent in cold water.
- If machine washing, use the wool program at 20-30°C.
- Dry flat, never hung (deforms).
- Store folded, never on a hanger. In a ventilated area with cedar or lavender sachets for moth protection.
Leather & Suede
- Avoid contact with water and moisture.
- Wipe with a soft dry cloth after exposure.
- Apply specialized leather conditioner every 2-3 months to maintain suppleness.
- Store in a dust bag, away from direct sunlight.
Jewelry
General principles
- Follow the "last on, first off" rule. Apply jewelry after perfume, makeup, and lotions.
- Remove before bathing, swimming, exercise, or sleep.
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or cloth to avoid scratches.
- Clean regularly with a soft cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.
Gold (18K, 14K, 9K)
- Wash with warm water and mild soap using a soft toothbrush.
- Dry with a microfiber cloth.
- Avoid chlorine, salts, and seawater — even gold tarnishes.
Sterling Silver 925
- Will naturally tarnish over time (oxidation). This is a feature of genuine silver — not a defect.
- Clean with a silver polishing cloth or silver paste.
- Store in an anti-oxidation pouch to slow tarnishing.
Gemstones & Pearls
- Pearls are porous. Wipe after each use with a soft cloth.
- Never expose pearls to perfume or chemicals.
- Diamonds and hard gemstones (ruby, sapphire) can be lightly cleaned with a soft brush.
- Soft stones (opal, aquamarine, turquoise) should not be washed — clean only with a dry cloth.
Accessories
Leather Bags
- Fill with soft paper or dust bag when not in use, to keep their shape.
- Avoid overloading, which stretches the leather.
- Store in dust bag, never in plastic.
- Condition every 3-6 months.
Watches
- Clean the strap with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never submerge unless explicitly waterproof.
- Avoid adjusting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM (the date mechanism can be damaged).
- Service every 3-5 years for mechanical watches.
